JMTR 2024 Race Update – April 1st, 2024 (No Foolin'!)

Hello runners, staff, and friends of JMTR. We are busy with the race logistics and wants to share some information regarding a few changes for the event this year. Please be on the lookout for the runners manual to be posted in mid-April with additional details regarding the event.
Trail Running Film Festival
For the second year on a row, the Jemez Mountain Trail Runs will be hosting the annual Trail Running Film Festival in Los Alamos on April 17th, 2024 at 7PM at the Sala event center (doors open at 6pm). Bathtub Row Brewing will be serving up adult beverages to keep your thirst at bay during the films. Get your tickets ($15) online directly from the Sala website.
Pre-race Dinner
We are sad to announce that we will not be holding the prerace dinner this year. Unfortunately, the
Cross Roads Bible church, where the pre-race dinner is normally held, is not available and we have been unsuccessful in finding an alternate location in town that can accommodate our group size and has facilities to prepare the pasta dinner. We are still exploring some other food options but have not finalized anything yet. The packet pickup on Friday will be held at the Posse Lodge (the Start/Finish of the JMTR races.).
Packet Pickup
Packet pickup this year will be held on Thursday at the Los Alamos Aquatic Center and on Friday at the Posse Lodge. More details will be posted in the runners manual soon.
Energy Drink and Gels
We will again have Tailwind Endurance Fuel on the course this year. The primary flavor will be Mandarin
Orange with some aid stations having Naked (Unflavored). Our longtime gel sponsor, VFuel, informed
us that they will be closing operations. We are currently looking into other gel sponsors and possibly
teaming up with Spring Energy Gel. We do expect to only have limited gels on the course, so if your primary source of race fuel is gels, we would encourage to bring your own supply.
Rabbit Shirts
We a happy to announce that we have partnered with Rabbit this year to supply our runner shirts. The 2024 JMTR shirts will be Rabbit's EZ tees in gray with the race logo and sponsors screen printed.
